Welcome to the Gas Industry Company website.
Please use the search engine to find documents. Our website was redesigned in December 2008 and previous links may no longer be valid. To assist you, our work programmes are divided into the following work areas:
- Retail – includes all retail as well as consumer-related work programmes
- Wholesale – includes the wholesale market trading and critical contingency management work programmes
- Pipeline – includes all work programmes that involve transmission and/or distribution of gas ie balancing, interconnection and changes to the pipeline codes (MPOC and VTC)
- Market Review – an area that will develop over time as various rules and regulations are implemented
- Corporate – includes all work programmes relating to the levy, and the compliance and enforcement regulations
You can use the website to file submissions on consultation documents, to register for events, and to receive notifications and industry updates.
Simply go to the top right corner of the page and click on ‘Create New Account’.
User Profile
Once you have created an account, you can modify your profile to subscribe to alerts. When you click on 'My Account' on the upper right hand, this will take you to
your profile page (user). Click on the 'Notifications' tab, then click on the 'Content type' to subscribe to particular content types or click on 'Tags' to subscribe to items tagged with particular 'Work Area'.

How to make a submission
During the time that a consultation document is open for submissions, you will see a 'Recommended Format for Submissions' link and an 'Upload a Submission' link. These links will disappear after the closing date for submissions.
Download the Recommended Format for Submissions template, complete it and save.
In order to upload a submission you need to be logged in on the website. If you are a new user you need to create a new account.
Click on the Upload a Submission link. Under Title, enter the name of your company. Complete all remaining fields, and tick the box confirming that you are authorised to make a submission on behalf of your organisation.
All submissions will be published on this website after the closing date.

Notification of changes to the website
You can also register to receive notification of changes made to the website.
Click on ‘My account’ on the top right hand corner of the website, select ‘notifications. You can select the work areas that you are interested in under ‘tags’, and the content type under ‘content type’. Select the ‘send interval’ and ‘send method’ for each one. You should then receive notification of any changes made to the areas you have selected on the website.
