The Consumer Energy Options Report aims to provide updated and authoritative information that can be used by a range of private and public sector players in guiding consumer energy decision-making. It covers both households and industrial heating, and reflects on issues for gas and LPG as carbon fuels.
The report analyses the relative merits of fuel/technology options for water heating, space heating, and industrial process heat, and looks at both cost and non-price attributes. Accordingly, it will be of interest to appliance manufacturers and retailers, gasfitters, wholesalers, retailers and distributors – in helping to inform their own gas promotions – as much as it will be to consumers.
The first report was produced by Concept Consulting for Gas Industry Co in November 2012 and then updated in April 2016. Both reports are available below as well as a key points summary on the 2016 report.
