Notification of Participant Details for Downstream Allocation and Registry Participants

The Gas (Downstream Reconciliation) Rules 2008 define those industry members who participate in the operation of the Rules as allocation participants. Allocation participants comprise retailers, distributors, meter owners or transmission system owners.

It is important for Gas Industry Co to have full and complete information on allocation participants so that all participants can be involved, consulted and notified as required. Information provided will be maintained on a register on the Gas Industry Co website. An allocation participant whose details has changed, or any company that considers itself to be an allocation participant, is invited to notify Gas Industry Co accordingly using the notification form which can be downloaded from:

Gas Allocation/Registry Participant Notification (Word document)

The same form can be used to advise Gas Industry Co if you are a registry participant under the Gas (Switching Arrangements) Rules 2008. Registry participants comprise retailers, distributors and meter owners. However, rule 9.1 of these Rules requires the registry operator to maintain the register of registry participants. Notifications should be sent to the registry operator Jade at gas [dot] registryatjadeworld [dot] com. The form should be used for both initial notifications and for notification of changes in details.

Information on participant codes is contained within the current version of the Determinations by the Industry Body (Gas Industry Co) Under the Gas (Switching Arrangements) Rules 2008, which is available on this page.
